Steering Committee: A Steering Committee of seven members, representing the major geographic regions of the world, manages the activities of the MicroFinance Network. The Steering Committee sets broad policy guidelines, invites new members, approves the budget and represents MFN in the industry.
Fiscal Agent: Since the MFN is an informal association, and not a registered organization, the Network appoints one of its members to assume the role of Institutional Sponsor. In this capacity, ACCION International serves as the MFN's fiscal agent and is responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of resources.
Institutional Sponsor: MFN appoints one of its members to house its personnel. Currently, Compartamos serves as the MFN's Institutional Sponsor.
Staff: The MFN employs a Director, and when necessary other staff, who operate from an office in Mexico City. The Director is responsible to manage the day-to-day activities of the MFN and reports to the Steering Committee.
