The objectives of the MicroFinance Network are:

• To provide the members with opportunities to learn from each other; and
• To contribute to the development of the microfinance industry.

One of the principal activities of the MFN is the annual conference. MFN members find the annual conference to be a unique learning opportunity where they can share ideas about innovations and solutions to the challenges with peer MFIs.

Apart from the annual conference, each year the members determine the activities they want to carry out as a group in order to achieve the Network's objectives. These activities have changed over years as the industry has evolved. In the past the Network focused more research and publications, as well as coordinating working groups, on topics of interest or of concern to the members. Recently the focus has moved to providing information in order to keep the members updated with the industry happenings.
